New York, NY – December 17, 2014 -- Westwood One Sports, the exclusive radio network partner of the BIG EAST Conference, has announced its schedule of select marquee BIG EAST regular season games. In addition to the regular season schedule, Westwood One Sports will broadcast semifinal and championship game coverage of the 2015 BIG EAST Conference Men’s basketball tournament and championship game coverage of the 2015 BIG EAST Conference Women's basketball tournament. The 2015 Men's tournament will be held March 11-14 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and the 2015 Women's tournament will be held March 7-10 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Westwood One’s coverage of BIG EAST basketball will begin with a New Year’s Eve doubleheader, featuring Creighton at Providence at 7:15 pm ET, followed by Georgetown at Xavier at 9:45 pm ET. The two primetime games are part of a New Year’s Eve marathon of five consecutive games to kick off conference play in the 10-team BIG EAST Conference. The schedule also includes two holiday games--pre-season favorite Villanova at Georgetown on January 19 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and Seton Hall at Villanova on February 16, 2015 (Presidents Day).
Westwood One’s exclusive terrestrial radio coverage of BIG EAST games will also air on SiriusXM Satellite Radio and the TuneIn radio mobile app. Westwood One will also stream the broadcasts live for free on westwoodonesports.com.
