“Workin’ Hard Country” Features the Three-time Grammy winner and his A-list Pals
NEW YORK, NY – July 27, 2015 – GRAMMY, ACM, and CMA award-winning artist Zac Brown becomes the latest music superstar to front one of Westwood One’s acclaimed holiday music specials. Brown, leader of Zac Brown Band, will gather some of his A-list Country friends to salute America’s workers in “Workin’ Hard Country,” a four-hour Labor Day special airing on Westwood One.
Besides songs from his band, Zac will also play working songs including “Day Drinking” by Little Big Town; Florida Georgia Line’s “Round Here;” “The Only Way I Know” by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Eric Church; “Shiftwork” by Kenny Chesney and George Strait; Keith Urban’s “Where the Blacktop Ends;” and Brooks & Dunn’s “Hard Workin’ Man” and more. He invites several of his A-list friends--such as Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and more--to join him and share stories about their pre-fame jobs and their current jobs as artists, musicians, and performers.
Three-time GRAMMY winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band have become one of music's most heralded acts. Their latest album, JEKYLL + HYDE, marked the band's third consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. Together with their three platinum-selling albums, Uncaged, You Get What You Give, and The Foundation, and their 2013 project The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1, the band has sold over seven million albums to date. On the radio, the band has earned a historic series of 13 #1 hit radio singles and with “Heavy Is the Head (featuring Chris Cornell), they became only the second artist to top both the country and active rock formats. That single, along with the #1 hit “Homegrown,” are from JEKYLL + HYDE. The band’s current single, “Loving You Easy,” also from JEKYLL + HYDE, is Top 10 and climbing.
Zac Brown Band are currently out on their largest North American Stadium Tour to date, which includes two history making performances--a first ever three-night run at Fenway Park--and the first ever concert at Coors Field.
