Uncle Joe's been a busy guy! He just talked to The Scorpions, Judas Priest's Rob Halford, and Peter Frampton! And yes, all will be showing up very soon in "Off The Record." In fact, The Scorps are airing this weekend!
That's not all Uncle Joe's been doing... he's also been sharing screen time with Russell Brand! And on June 4th, you can see it for yourself! Uncle Joe has a cameo in the upcoming Russell Brand movie, "Get Him To The Greek," which comes out June 4th. Here's a note from the film's producers:
Uncle Joe,
We finished the sound on "Get Him to the Greek" and it really rocks! We have so many different live concert venues with real crowds that the character Aldous Snow is totally believable as a rock star. The scene with your radio broadcast plays so well. It's so cool that you are in our film!
Congratulations to all of our Def Leppard winners! 10 lucky "Off The Record" listeners received double-disc, deluxe editions of "Pyromania" and "Adrenalize."
And congrats to all those who won copies of the newly remastered, double-disc "The Very Best Of Don Henley."

And Uncle Joe is sitting down with Mr. George Thorogood next month. You'll be able to hear that the weekend of July 11/12th. Hilarity always ensues when George stops by the Off The Record studio!
The Off The Record Summer of Fun has officially started!
Graham Nash dropped by the "Off The Record" studios to talk up his new three-disc box set, "Reflections." He and Uncle Joe dug into The Hollies, Graham solo stuff, and of course, the music of CSN and sometimes Y.
Uncle Joe also asked Graham about his American Idol performance, and sharing the stage with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour during David's last solo tour.
Graham's been quite a busy guy too! He's got a bunch of irons in the fire - a live CSNY album from their legendary 1974 tour; a live album from his acoustic tour with David Crosby a few years back; Stephen Stills' box set, and yes, a new CSN studio album!
Happy 2009! We've got a lot of great stuff in store for you "Off The Record" fans this year. Starting us off, a return visit from drummer extraordinaire Kenny Aronoff. He was the house band drummer for the President Obama "We Are One" Inaugural celebration at the Lincoln Memorial. He's got a lot of great stories about the event, meeting the President, and playing with John Mellencamp for the first time in 15 years. He'll also tell us who he's been in the studio with lately!!
Graham Nash, of CSNY fame, will also spend some time at the "Off The Record" studio to chat up his box set release, "Reflections." We'll talk a little Hollies, CSN, Neil Young, and Graham solo releases.
That's just the tip of the iceberg! So check back... and keep rocking "Off The Record!"

Aug-29-2008 Happy Labor Day! "Off The Record" is celebrating Labor Day, the holiday designed especially for the working people of America, with a truly great, hard-workin' American artist - Steve Miller! He just released his first-ever live dvd/cd, "Live From Chicago," and we're playing a bunch of killer live performances from that release in this weekend's show! Steve and the band have also been really busy in the studio - they've recorded two albums' worth of blues songs. Legendary engineer/producer Andy Johns (who's famously worked with Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones) was in studio for that. There's so much going on with the Steve Miller Band right now... end of the Summer tour, new singer in the band - yes, you heard right!! New singer!! And Uncle Joe covers it all with Steve Miller himself. Plus we got a lot of great music, this weekend "Off The Record." See you there!!

Jun-23-2008 40 Years of YES! Yes may have had to cancel their 40th anniversary Summer Tour, "Close To The Edge And Back" due to singer Jon Anderson's respiratory problems, but that didn't stop the vocalist from updating your Uncle Joe! Many thanks to Jon, who's recovering at his home in the States, for chatting with everyone's favorite Unc over the weekend on "Off The Record."
And if you're wondering about some of the songs we dusted off for this very special anniversary show - here's what you heard...
Yours Is No Disgrace Close To The Edge I've Seen All Good People Every Little Thing (a Beatles cover, which originally appeared on Yes' debut album) Long Distance Run Around The Fish Owner Of A Lonely Heart Roundabout Wondrous Stories
40 Years of Yes! Jon Anderson's feeling better every day, and hoping that he and Yes will be on the road next year to make up for this Summer's cancelled dates. Jon also let it slip that the band has four or five songs ready to go a for a new album. We may see that late next year too!
