Listening to a podcast is no longer a niche activity. Podcasting has surged 24% over last year, with more than one in five Americans listening in a month, according to newly released data from Edison Research’s “The Infinite Dial 2016.”

This is the largest growth spurt for the medium in 10 years. Compared to 2013, monthly podcast use is up 75%.
