John Trout is a seasoned radio and television broadcaster with experience across the industry as an on-air host, newscaster, sales manager, and program director. He is a two-time recipient of the Achievement in Radio Award.

John began his broadcasting career at his high school radio station in Sharonville, Ohio, and by age 21 was hosting a Top 40 morning show in Evansville, Indiana. His radio career has included stops in Indianapolis, Virginia Beach, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C.

He is a graduate of the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology Program and has worked as a television meteorologist at WLFI-TV in Indiana and WBOC-TV in Maryland. While at WBOC-TV, John also hosted the popular “Proud to Serve” segment, spotlighting local communities from the station’s helicopter, Chopper 16.

John is a licensed private pilot and has soloed a Cessna 152.
